Aqua City, one of the most ambitious and extensive residential projects in Bucharest, is officially the new partner and sponsor of the FC Rapid Bucharest 1923 football team. The moment was marked by a press conference that took place on Tuesday, August 10, at 12 noon. : 00, at the Aqua City showroom in Intrarea Rocilor 12-16. During the press conference, the representatives of Aqua City and those of the Rapid Bucharest football team provided details about the collaboration agreement, but also about the special relationship that connects the football team with the Giulesti neighborhood, where Aqua City is located. In this sense, a premiere for Romanian football and sports has been announced: an entire block of flats will be dedicated to the athletes and staff of the Rapid club, who will thus have the opportunity to live together. This will be called "Cherry Entrance", and the rapidists who want to live here will have special offers, having the opportunity to purchase apartments at preferential prices.
"For Rapid, Giulestiul itself is home . In the past, Rapid footballers were accommodated at Gara de Nord or opposite the stadium. In 2021, Rapid footballers and athletes will live together in Giulesti, where our house is, on the same block of flats. It is probably something unique in Romanian football and sports and for us something that makes us feel at home and different from the others ", said Lucian Ionescu , image director of the club.
"I am very impressed with the Aqua City project, I think it will look great, and the players and legends of Rapid will feel very good here. For us, it means a lot that when the stadium is ready, all those who are part of this team will return to their origins and live in Giulesti ", said Victor Angelescu , Rapid Bucharest financier.

We want to offer access to children from disadvantaged families to this club and to support their passion for sports. The Aqua City residential project, developed in the Giulesti neighborhood, is only a 2-minute walk from Lake Morii and will consist of 6 blocks of flats, in which approximately 5,000 people will live. The data of a company monitoring the construction market at national level places Aqua City on the first place in Bucharest and on the 3rd place at national level in the top of the biggest projects , out of the 12,000 analyzed sites.
The impressive size of the real estate complex has led the team behind the project to focus not only on the well-being of future tenants, but also on the community. Thus, the Aqua City team thought of projects that would have a positive impact for the neighborhood and its inhabitants. Together with the administration of sector 6, the Aqua City team took part in the largest campaign to clean up the surroundings of Lake Morii, as a result of which around 5,000 garbage bags were collected. At the same time, Aqua City launched the first newspaper of an urban community in Bucharest - an objective, balanced media product, focusing on the Giulesti - Crangasi - Lake Morii area, with a circulation of 60,000 copies, distributed free of charge to community members.
