JANUARY 14 and the construction of the first block of the Aqua City residential project was completed on the structure. And the good news about the status quo continues!
All 311 apartments in the first block were subdivided.
The state of affairs in January 2021
The interior installation works - thermal and electrical - have reached the last hundred meters. These days, the last works are being carried out on the 11th floor.
The screed pouring works - an essential process for the protection of the above mentioned installations - reached the 6th and 7th floors, after the final screed was worked for the 4th and 5th floors.
The plastering works on the walls reached the 7th floor, on all 3 stairs of the block.
The work related to the installation of the carpentry of the windows has reached the 8th floor. As well as the installation of the glass for the windows or for the glass wall between the kitchen and the living room.
We have good news about the covered parking lot, which is in the immediate vicinity of the block. There are 7 plots rounded to the first block and:
- Plots P1 and P2 are executed in proportion of 100%
- At plots P3 - P5 the erasers (parking plates) were made and the housings of the support poles were mounted.
And we still have something important to communicate.
Green is planted in winter or as we took the first steps towards Aqua City Park
An old Romanian saying says that the sage makes his sleigh in winter and in summer. In both cases, it takes time to plan, procure materials, assemble, test, finish, and each of these steps takes time. Following this principle, in the last month we planted the first trees in what will become the green space of the Aqua City residential complex.
Besides the main buildings, the residential ones, and the numerous facilities offered - SPA center, commercial spaces, sports and leisure fields, covered parking lots - all developed on an area of 75,000 sqm, about 6,600 sqm will be reserved for the green space, divided into promenade areas and relaxation areas.
In the first part of December we planted 100 trees and shrubs (of about 14 species) on an area of 3400 square meters. This surface will be divided, later, into: park, alleys, play area, event scene.
Why did we take this action right now, in December? For two reasons: the first is related to the completion of the structure of the block, so that the green space once arranged, is not affected by the works; the second is related to the planting period. As long as the soil is not frozen and the temperatures are about 5-7 degrees, the months of November and December are very good for planting. It is very important that the transplant is done during the vegetative rest period, so that the tree can adapt to the chemistry of the new soil and, eventually, to make new roots in addition to the existing ones.
What species were planted?
- Plain deciduous trees, such as hornbeam (Carpinus betullus), "silver" lime (Tilia hybrida argentea), red oak (Quercus rubra), English oak (Quercus robur), silver maple (Acer saccharinum), maple (Acer platanoides), birch ( Betula pendula 'youngii'),
- Fruit trees such as red plum (Prunus pisardi nigra), mulberry (Morus platanifolia)
- Shrubs and ornamental trees such as hibiscus (Hibiscus syriacus), silver fir (Abies concolor glauca), "pyramidal" hornbeam (Carpinus betullus piramidalis)
- Exotic trees such as Ginkgo biloba, gum tree (Liquidambar styraciflua)
The above species were chosen to meet several criteria: decorative, resistance to urban pollution, rapid growth. Last but not least, the final visual aspect of the green areas and how they will be used were followed.
Given that the Aqua City project is being built in several phases and the first block has a deadline to complete the construction at the end of July 2021 and the first tenants will move at the end of December 2021, this green area will be more than welcoming in the spring of 2022. After a year and 4 months from planting, the park and promenade area will be pleasant for walks and perfect for relaxing after a long day.
In the 12 months of construction of block 1, the following were used:
- 1,650 tons of iron
- 14,000 cubic meters of concrete.
- 72950 pieces of 15cm, 16500 pieces of 25 cm and 76400 pieces of 30 cm, a total of 165 850 pieces of Ytong comrades
